Hello hello there, how are you keeping? I am back in the swing of things now that the walkthrough for Pokemon Blazing Emerald is done, it's available for anyone who has been looking for one. Episodes 4, 5 and 6 of the WWE 2K16 Universe Mode series were posted during the weekend, covering Week 2, you can check those out also. My plan is to upload this series on the weekends while the music series ( House of Sounds , Counting Electric Sheep , Tuning for Tunes and A Room Full of Ticking Clocks ) become weekly and the podcasts (Comic Book Chronicles and The MultiMangaverse ) are released when they are ready. Hello from the Battle Frontier! How have you been otherwise? Hopefully you've been doing okay. Yes, as you can tell from the screenshot I am not quite in the belly of the beast but I am now deep in the post-game of Pokemon Blazing Emerald . This is the portion of the game which I was not looking forward to because it's mainly focused on competing in all the facilities at the Battle Frontier so that I get both Silver and Gold Symbols in order to trigger a couple of Legendary-related events and complete the Pokedex. I've never been into the competitive scene of the Pokemon fandom so places like the Battle Frontier and other areas like it which have appeared in latter generations were stuff I would just have a first-time look through then leave alone because it's just battles galore in the same spot and I'll get bored with that in no time. It's probably super, super, SUPER late to say this but Happy 2025! I hope that you've been keeping well so far, and that you will forgive me for the silence since my previous post near the end of last year. My aim to get back into the audio content in January flopped because I just couldn't squeeze in the time for it in between the offline family business work and the walkthrough for Pokemon Blazing Emerald which I still haven't finished yet. I've also been helping out my cousin Val on her Whatsapp Channel, which she uses mainly to promote her appearances on the radio station she works for. My idea for the channel was to make it a mini radio station where each day of the week you'll find a Top 5 Songs of the Day DJ set posted. Hello hello, how have you been? I had hoped to get back in the swing of things content-wise in November but no luck and now that we are smackdab in the middle of the holidays I thought it would be best to use this time that I've got to pop in and suggest that you and I should pick up where we left off in the new year. Either in the first week or second week of January. It's been a super busy year for me, which is why there hasn't been a lot of content and for that I'm sorry. If you go back to my first post of the year you can tell how hyped I was for 2024, it looked like it would be a year where I could make up for the crappy 2023 that we had here. But around February and March things got hectic and I had to focus most of my time and energy into the work that I do with my dad and my brother.  At least next year I'll be better prepared to try and fit in time for the content work in between the regular work. Hey, how have you been? Good I hope, because it has not been super fun over here since my last post. We've been experiencing back to back extended "loadshedding" power cuts for a few weeks now, that's why I have not posted anything since the WWE 2K16 Universe Mode episodes . Usually it's either you get the power cuts that happen from morning to some time in the afternoon or the power cuts that happen from the afternoon to some time at night, but with these extended cuts it's been from around 6am to around 9pm almost daily. Today was a day for the morning power cut, which was a bit of a surprise because when power goes in the morning you just expect it to be yet another long day of no power. What sucks also is that there isn't a proper schedule that people can follow so they can plan around these power cuts (in the past there would be scheduled published in the newspapers). There's some more good news that I've got to share with you this time which is related to content that I've wanted to share but haven't been able to because of long-running internet troubles. Hello hello, how's it going? I have some good news to share with you, something which I hope will be a nice way to end the week. Behold... It took a while but here we are with the internet upgrade that I had been hoping for. That's the router in the photo above, sitting on one of our old TVs in the dining room. Apologies for the silence and lack of activity as far as posting here on the site and putting out content goes, I have been super busy with work since March. For those of you who don't know or are new to the site, I work with my brother and my dad in a manufacturing business. Usually I would get some free time for my content creator work but because we've been supplying our products directly to customers for a while now, I have not had much of a chance to pick up where I left off in the prepping of the next audio episode ( Asterix ). That would need my full attention for reading the comic, making notes, putting together links for the episode notes, recording, editing and uploading the episode. It is Saturday morning as I am typing this and I am happy to let you know that power was restored here yesterday afternoon! Phew I was getting worried that we would be going to another weekend without electricity and had to wait until next week for the crew from the power company to show up and do their work. But we can't celebrate for too long because like I said in the previous post, sooner or later other cables will be stolen and once again the residents will have to pay for new ones and the cycle goes on. If residents were more organised and willing to set up a proper neighbourhood watch team, there might not be any more cable thefts or burglaries for that matter (because with a lot of residents having solar panels, they become potential targets for thieves), but from what I've heard from the old man so far there's not much organisation among residents. Hello hello. Apologies for the silence and no follow-up post after House of Sounds 34, I have been offline because of (you might have guessed it) power issues. Our fantastic*, amazing*, gold standard level* (citation needed for what has an astetisk) national power company introduced another round of loadshedding recently. It went into effect in our area last Wednesday, power goes around 10am and returns just before 6pm from what I noticed on the day up to Friday. Then as if that wasn't lousy enough, on Saturday morning we woke up to find no power. Naturally I thought "Oh, a super early power cut. Could mean power will be back around lunchtime, okay." But lunchtime came and went, no power. 6pm came and went, no power. Sunday morning rolled in and still nothing. What's the deal? We would find out later in the day that cables had been stolen early Saturday morning. The last time cable theft happened here was around this time LAST YEAR. Things became slightly better ever ...

  It took a bit but here it is, the final set in the Sessions series (for now?). The focus for this one is the first original soundtrack for the Fairy Tail anime. It was composed by Yasuharu Takanashi and released on the 6th of June 2010. Even after all these years the soundtrack still holds up, with plenty of songs that made you get hyped for many of the awesome battles that were in the anime.  A big thank you to everyone who has been following Counting Electric Sheep, not just from CES 20 when Sessions began but from the first set. First release of the new year! Happy 2024 to you, I hope January hasn't been too harsh on you :)  I'll give the live-action series a 3 out of 5. It's not the greatest live-action adaptation ever made but it's a decent watch which won't leave you asking why you wasted your time watching it (like some other notorious adaptations...I'm still looking at you Dragon Ball E and Knights of the Zodiac). Great work as far as costumes, set designs, Easter eggs, references and the actors bringing the key characters to life. However, the series just leaves out a lot of the source material's charm because of the changes which were made, even though Oda was involved as an Executive Producer. So I have an idea that couldn't wait and I figured I might as well share it with you now and find out what you think of it. Next year I am considering the addition of bonus episodes in which we take a look at the first volume of different manga titles, whether they are currently ongoing or completed or even those titles that were cancelled either prematurely or later on in their run. For the time being, the two manga titles that we are covering are Hunter x Hunter and One Piece and it's clear that we won't get through them anytime soon. But thanks to the bonus episodes we can check out other titles too without compromising our main two. So for example, after the episodes covering a volume of Hunter x Hunter and One Piece , the next release would be a bonus episode. Let me know in the comments below what you think of this idea.
