 Some good news: we haven't gone back to the long power cuts of last week and water returned today! Lots of containers to fill but at least it came back, I was worried there would be no running water for another week.  Work on Tintin continues and my walkthrough for Pokemon (Old) White is nearly done too, that should be out over the weekend. To anyone popping in to keep up with me via the site, thank you for being patient and I hope you understand the situation that I have been going through here. I can't tell you if/when things will improve, we just try to make the most with what we've got when we get it. Take care and enjoy your weekend.

I wanted to wait a few days before giving an update, just to see how things go. There was power on Sunday and Monday but no power today from morning until around 8pm (it is around 11pm now). If today was an indication that we're getting a repeat of last week's long power cuts then we are screwed. The image that I've uploaded for this post is the water supply restoration strategy that was sent out today by our city. Because of last week's power cuts, water supply was compromised and so our area (which receives its water from the Criterion reservoir) has had no water since two Sundays ago. We didn't know about the water supply being affected until Saturday when the city informed residents. I'll only find out tomorrow if we are getting long cuts this week again or if today was just a one off.  Will keep you posted, take care.  

Since Tuesday we have been experiencing extended power cuts here. Power is gone around 6-7am and then returns between 7-11pm. At first I thought maybe this is only going on in this neighbourhood and some of the surrounding ones but I heard from a relative of mine who is living in Harare (capital city) that she had the same long power cuts too during the week. I haven't had a chance to check online and find out what's going on but while I've got some time tonight, I will and (fingers crossed) it isn't a nationwide issue which will be happening indefinitely (as if the unscheduled "load-shedding" cuts in this neighbourhood aren't bad enough). That's what I'm worried about. My plan had been to finishing reading and preparing notes for Tintin in America  this week then record on Sunday, but that was before Tuesday happened. The good news is I am nearly done, I have been reading the redrawn and coloured 1945 edition. It would've been great if I had t

Much better than the mashups Part 2 in terms of tracks and a nice way to wrap up revisiting this fantastic album. Still holds up even now and is still the one album I can listen to almost front to back (just save for a few tracks :p but not because they are terrible, but they just don't get to me like the others). I had wanted to make a Part 4 for the bonus tracks Proof , Things I Don't Understand and Gravity but I decided not to in the end because I mostly found covers of the tracks and some remixes of Gravity ( of which only 1 made it into the set) and no mashups.
