Moved In (Checking In Tuesday 3 February 2026)
It took a couple of days but phew done and done 😁 moving in was Phase 1 and now's on to Phase 2 - unpacking and putting things in place. The house is a little bigger, there's running (borehole) water and there's someone else staying on the property who can help us with the yard work so those are the big positives. On the other hand though, the house gets pretty loud because it's got an asbestos roof. Not exactly great during times when you're alone in the house with all that noise going on around you haha, how the hell are you going to hear any knocking at the gate (which is maybe 100-200 metres or so away from the front door)? Wi-Fi connection is going to be a little rough here, especially mobile, because just like at the previous place my room is a couple of rooms away from where the Starlink router has been mounted outside.
