Checking In (Wednesday 4 June 2025)

Hello hello there, how are you keeping? I am back in the swing of things now that the walkthrough for Pokemon Blazing Emerald is done, it's available for anyone who has been looking for one. Episodes 4, 5 and 6 of the WWE 2K16 Universe Mode series were posted during the weekend, covering Week 2, you can check those out also. My plan is to upload this series on the weekends while the music series (House of Sounds, Counting Electric Sheep, Tuning for Tunes and A Room Full of Ticking Clocks) become weekly and the podcasts (Comic Book Chronicles and The MultiMangaverse) are released when they are ready. Asterix Episode 4 is my next major release, I can resume work on that and aim for next week for the episode release. The walkthroughs too, I think it goes without saying that they come out when they are done so I don't put a set schedule for those because it all depends on the games. There are some notable ROM hacks that have come out so far which I'm keeping my eye on for potential walkthroughs, such as Pokemon Pisces, Pokemon Lazarus, Mariomon, Pokemon Darkfire and the soon to be completed Pokemon Odyssey. I've been in touch with someone on the team for Pokemon Fire Red Team Rocket Edition and he suggested putting together a brief walkthrough of the prologue, just as a showcase to see if my style would work for them. But there's no rush to jump into those yet because there are a couple of walkthroughs that I have to update first (walkthroughs for Pokemon Azure Horizons, Pokemon (Old) White, Pokemon Righteous Red and Pokemon Adventure Red Chapter). It would be best to get that work done and out of the way before starting on a whole new guide, and I already know that the walkthrough for Pokemon Adventure Red Chapter is going to take some time because the game is quite lengthy so I'll save that one for last. Hopefully it won't take as long as the Blazing Emerald guide :)

On a brief housekeeping note, please be aware that the payment tier on my Patreon has gone back down to US$1 from the US$5 that I had moved up to late last year. Apologies for raising the fee like that, I had hoped that with the new Patrons who were joining as Free Members initially they might switch to become actual supporters at some point. But to this day I have not heard back from any of these Free Member accounts, even after emailing them to encourage them to consider becoming paying supporters. Nothing even after the switch back to the original fee amount. There are currently 21 total Patrons but only one is a paying supporter, someone that I have interacted with before and is a friend. No idea who the remaining 20 are and I suspect they could be bot accounts. Is there a way to block these accounts or report them to Patreon or remove them somehow? If you happen to know how I can deal with these Free Member accounts please contact me either by leaving a comment under this post or email me at allenchngnzh22@gmail.com. Maybe one of these accounts will reach out and confirm some signs of life, we'll see. US$1 will remain the basic fee, if that's what someone can afford then no problem, but at the same time if somone wants to pay a higher amount because that's how much value they see in the content then that's fine with me as well. This is why I don't have multiple tiers, just one with a basic fee is enough I think.
