- In Pokémon Team Rocket Edition, the "real" Viridian City Gym challenge concludes and the road to the Indigo Plateau begins. I'll admit, I had a little "help" for the second round because it would've taken AGES to level up through training in the two areas that offer the highest amounts of EXP at this point in the game: Route 14 (where you can encounter Level 36 Chansey that give out just over 1600 points if your Pokémon's holding a Lucky Egg) and the lowest level of the Seafoam Islands (where you can encounter wild Slowbro, Dewgong and Gyarados in their 30's that give out between 1200 and 1500 points). There are no Trainer rematches (although there is a Key Item programed in which serves as this game's version of the Vs. Seeker but it doesn't work). After playing ahead and getting beyond the Champion Battle, I found out that it's only after going through the Badge Checks (you have to battle each of these guards) and after battling Andra near the Victory Road entrance that you'll get a call from Giovanni about the special training room next to his office being open now. That's where you can do your proper training for each stat or just for EXP (by battling a Grunt who has a full team of Level 50 Chansey that each give over 4000 points if your Pokémon is holding a Lucky Egg. The Chansey just know Heal Pulse). Plan B would've been to just feed Rare Candies to my Pokémon until they're way ahead in levels but I like training the old fashioned way and just wished that the special training room had been opened BEFORE the Gym mission and not AFTER fighting our Rival one more time outside Victory Road.

Episode 13 (Saturday 16 May 2026)


- In Pokémon Adventure Red Chapter, the episode covers Chapters 21 (Pallet Heroes), 22 (Mime Game), 23 (Saffron City Chapter) and the start of Chapter 24 (Hero vs Villain). The capture of Lapras is covered too, which is found in Celadon City on Wednesdays. For some reason since the chapter on Cinnabar Island, Ramuh the Teleporter and his Abra are absent from their usual spot outside Pokemon Centers and because of that you'll see me teleporting from place to place in the video. The bad news is that normal teleportation (via your Pokemon using the move outside of battles) is wonky in the game and Fly doesn't work so players are stuck with having to backtrack from Pallet Town all the way to Route 5 then go east to Route 7 outside Saffron City. This is only just a taste of how lousy fast-travel in the game is, it gets a little worse in the Orange Archipelago because there are places where Ramuh is absent again. The good news is there's a pair of remakes in the works which I understand will fix issues like this and restore Fly, I just don't know when those remakes will come out. Maybe I'll be done updating the walkthrough by then 😂

Checking In (Wednesday 4 June 2025)

Hello hello there, how are you keeping? I am back in the swing of things now that the walkthrough for Pokemon Blazing Emerald is done, it's available for anyone who has been looking for one. Episodes 4, 5 and 6 of the WWE 2K16 Universe Mode series were posted during the weekend, covering Week 2, you can check those out also. My plan is to upload this series on the weekends while the music series ( House of Sounds , Counting Electric Sheep , Tuning for Tunes and A Room Full of Ticking Clocks ) become weekly and the podcasts (Comic Book Chronicles and The MultiMangaverse ) are released when they are ready. Asterix Episode 4 is my next major release, I can resume work on that and aim for next week for the episode release. The walkthroughs too, I think it goes without saying that they come out when they are done so I don't put a set schedule for those because it all depends on the games.
