Some good news: we haven't gone back to the long power cuts of last week and water returned today! Lots of containers to fill but at least it came back, I was worried there would be no running water for another week.  Work on Tintin continues and my walkthrough for Pokemon (Old) White is nearly done too, that should be out over the weekend. To anyone popping in to keep up with me via the site, thank you for being patient and I hope you understand the situation that I have been going through here. I can't tell you if/when things will improve, we just try to make the most with what we've got when we get it. Take care and enjoy your weekend.

I wanted to wait a few days before giving an update, just to see how things go. There was power on Sunday and Monday but no power today from morning until around 8pm (it is around 11pm now). If today was an indication that we're getting a repeat of last week's long power cuts then we are screwed. The image that I've uploaded for this post is the water supply restoration strategy that was sent out today by our city. Because of last week's power cuts, water supply was compromised and so our area (which receives its water from the Criterion reservoir) has had no water since two Sundays ago. We didn't know about the water supply being affected until Saturday when the city informed residents. I'll only find out tomorrow if we are getting long cuts this week again or if today was just a one off.  Will keep you posted, take care.

Since Tuesday we have been experiencing extended power cuts here. Power is gone around 6-7am and then returns between 7-11pm. At first I thought maybe this is only going on in this neighbourhood and some of the surrounding ones but I heard from a relative of mine who is living in Harare (capital city) that she had the same long power cuts too during the week. I haven't had a chance to check online and find out what's going on but while I've got some time tonight, I will and (fingers crossed) it isn't a nationwide issue which will be happening indefinitely (as if the unscheduled "load-shedding" cuts in this neighbourhood aren't bad enough). That's what I'm worried about. My plan had been to finishing reading and preparing notes for Tintin in America  this week then record on Sunday, but that was before Tuesday happened. The good news is I am nearly done, I have been reading the redrawn and coloured 1945 edition. It would've been great if I had t...

( recorded on Thursday 9 March 2023 ) Here we are with Part 3, the remixes portion of Room 3. Much better than the mashups Part 2 in terms of tracks and a nice way to wrap up revisiting this fantastic album. Still holds up even now and is still the one album I can listen to almost front to back (just save for a few tracks :p but not because they are terrible, but they just don't get to me like the others). I had wanted to make a Part 4 for the bonus tracks Proof , Things I Don't Understand and Gravity but I decided not to in the end because I mostly found covers of the tracks and some remixes of Gravity ( of which only 1 made it into the set) and no mashups. I think the 3 parts are enough and (this is something I should've been doing since Part 1 but only thought of it while recording Part 3!) I've got an Honourable Mentions list of songs that didn't make it into the sets but are still worth checking out because they could've fit right in had things gone di...

Despite the power-related shenanigans during the week, Room 3 (Part 2) and House of Sounds 33 got released! Thank you to anyone who has checked those out, I hope they'll enjoy them.  In the works... ( recorded on Wednesday 1 March 2023 ). Welcome to Part 2, which features mashups. Not much variety in terms of songs that got mashed up with others unfortunately, there was more variety in the covers and remixes departments. But the mashups that you will hear were the better ones of the handful that I found. Also thrown in are a couple of bonus mashups: one has Kanye's favourite pop star and the closer is rather bittersweet :) Fingers crossed for the Viva la Vida  mashups, eh? Enjoy and keep an eye out for Part 3 next week, take care.   https://archive.org/download/a-room-full-of-ticking-clocks-01/A%20Room%20Full%20of%20Ticking%20Clocks%2003b.mp3 BitChute: https://www.bitchute.com/video/saZPDlR2jD8a/ Youtube: https://youtu.be/6PeR08CyFD0 Audio Archive:  https://archive.org/details/a-room-full-of-ticking-clocks-01 Video Playlists: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxNAXX8G2S7i4KEGQRAV5aDWVHJckfbEJ or https://www.bitchute.com/playlist/xyqSzBptBCv1/ Tracklist 01 L...

( recorded on Monday 27 February 2023 ) The first House of Sounds  release for 2023, welcome to it. There shouldn't have been such a gap between episodes but given all the shenanigans that have gone since the previous episode came out (moving to another house and so on), my hope is that fans of HoS  will understand. In this episode we'll hear tunes from Revolution, DJ Cleo, Kentphonik, Mahoota and a little more :) it's good to have HoS  back in rotation, sorry for the long wait. I can't guarantee that the shenanigans are completely gone but for now, please enjoy Episode 33! ( recorded on Monday 20 February 2023 )  Here we are, finally revisiting X&Y! Part 1 features some amazing covers plus a special bonus track: the original version of Talk , which ended up on the internet somehow way back in 2005 (apparently). Maybe you've heard it before, maybe not, but for me I had no idea it even existed until I found it while preparing this set. Pretty good, it has grown on me and I like it as much as the final version. I'm curious to find out from other fans what they think of it so feel free to leave your feedback in the comments section. Part 2 (mashups) is planned for next week and then Part 3 (remixes) follows a week after that. Many thanks to all the fellow fans and artists who put together the covers, mashups and remixes which you will hear, please enjoy! Hello hello! It's been a rough week and sadly the "action" continues this week too. We've been experiencing back to back power cuts because the transformer for our area is facing some trouble. The power company is aware of the issue and my hope is they are currently sorting that out. What sucks is that while there have been power cuts because of that issue, the regular unscheduled "load-shedding" power cuts still happen, so there's a chance of having two power cuts on the same day. No idea when the transformer problem will be solved, but I am doing my best to work through the disruptions so please sit tight. Take care. **Work in Progress** The MultiMangaverse 11 One Piece Vol. 5 A Room Full of Ticking Clocks 3 X&Y Tintin's Audio Adventure Series Episode 3 Tintin in America Walkthrough: Pokemon Azure Horizons (Hacksrepairman's Update 17 February 2022)
